As London’s new residential school, we were honoured and privileged to be invited to meet Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Chitralada Palace in Bangkok recently.
Ashley Musgrave, CEO of Chartam Education, and Robert Corr, Regional Sales Manager for Asia, attended the palace to personally present HRH Princess Sirindhorn with full scholarships to our new £120 million campus in Colindale, London.
The palace grounds, surrounded by a moat and secured by the royal guards, also contain the Chitralada School, which was initially established for the children of the royal family and the palace staff.
Very well known for her philanthropic work, HRH Princess Sirindhorn oversees various Royal Projects, which includes awarding scholarships to Teachers in Thailand, giving them the opportunity to participate in an overseas English language course for 8 – 10 weeks.
We were very pleased to offer six full scholarships to the recipients awarded the Royal Project by the Princess, and provide them with, not only high-quality English language programmes, but also high quality residential accommodation in our new Colindale campus, meals, insurance and airport transfers to ensure they return to Thailand with new skills, new experiences and a great impression of both London and the UK.
It was truly a pleasure to be a part of this fantastic programme and contribute to the development of such friendly teachers from Thailand.
Below you can find some pictures of Ashley and Robert making their scholarship presentations, along with some of the Teachers with Ashley at Colindale at the end of their stay with us.
